Krüger National Park is an essential part of the program of every South Africa traveler, so that is where we went straight away. This much is clear: we were disappointed.
Of course, you get the full program of the African fauna in the Krüger, and we experienced some really nice moments in the park, but due to the easy access of the park, it becomes the local recreation area of all South Africans. As soon as you discover an animal, you sit among a throng of cars that also want a glimpse of what you found. The morning game drives turn into a race of who can get our of the gate first at 5:30 a.m. Otherwise, you are forced to drive in the midst of the dust cloud of the guy in front of you who has most likely already chased off the last, timid nocturnal creatures.
On the north side of the park, there is mostly dense bush to the right and left of the road and I just said: "Well, I suppose with these bushes, an elephant will literally have to jump onto the street in order for us to see him!"....

And then it was time to bring out the snorkels...
